Résumé: This paper is an attempt to analyze the land use in the old settlement, the “Ksar” of Bou-Saada, a seven to eight century old
town situated at 250 km south of the capital Algiers in the high plateau. Emphasis will be on the urban fabric as in form and
structure. This study will focus on both punctual (squares, crossroads and intersections) and linear (streets, alleys and cul-desacs)
urban entities and their relationship with the immediate built environment.
Then, we pass on to the analysis of networks of public facilities and green spaces in the Ksar. Finally, and within the same
context, the housing units will be investigated in order to depict the typological constants and variables principles underpinning
the spiritual content of the ksar. The outcome of this research is aimed at providing designers at different scales with the
necessary understanding and knowledge to address the needs of present and future generations as well as historical, cultural,

Titre: Micro-irrigation de la tomate sous serre

Résumé: The agriculture in green house is one of the intensive production models, so factors of production must be maximized in order
to warrant net profit. The present work consists on an example of optimal design set up of the micro-irrigation network of
cultivated greenhouses of tomato. Obtained results by using a theoretical model of design showed that 157.5 litres per
plantation are necessary for the irrigation during 78 h 42. One greenhouse requires 157.5 m3 and a hectare 4 000 m3. The water
capacity of the network head for one hectare is 27 m3/h, if we irrigated an hectare in two times, it require 54 m3/h and 2 bars of
a global pressure for the total area. From the previews observations, the equipment economic aspect of the project suggest that

Résumé: We use an evolutionary process to seek a specialized powerful rule of Cellular Automata (CA) among a set of best rules for
extracting edges in a given black-white image. This best set of local rules determines the future state of CA in an asynchronous
