SCENARIOS DES CHANGEMENTS CLIMATIQUES POUR LES PRECIPITATIONS ET LES TEMPERATURES EN AFRIQUE SUBSAHARIENNE TROPICALE HUMIDE : CAS DU BASSIN VERSANT DE DAVO, COTE D’IVOIRE

Résumé: Like Sub-Saharan countries, the Ivory Coast is vulnerable to the effects of
climate change. This study aims to assess the impacts of climate change on
precipitation and temperatures for 2050 and 2080 horizons in the Davo
watershed located in southwestern of Ivory Coast. Four Atmospheric/Ocean
General Circulation Models (AOGCMs) and two greenhouse gas emission
scenarios (GHGES) A2 and B2 were used to create a range of plausible
scenarios. All projections show an increase in temperature. Under the A2
scenario the average model prediction of warming is 1.7 ° C and 3.1 ° C across
the two periods while, the precipitation will increase by -0.4% to 3%. Under the
B2 scenario, the average model prediction of warming is less important than
under scenario A2. Under the B2 scenario, precipitation will experience an
increase of 2.4 % and 3.7 % across the two time slice. The B2 scenario is wetter
and less hot than the A2 scenario.

Résumé: The water quality is a permanent concern of the man who has devoted an entire
legislation and ratified many international conventions and protocols for its
protection and preservation.
To get in such context, the objective of our study is to evaluate the physicochemical
quality of water wells in the Berrahal area which a significant number
of its population is supplied by groundwater.
The evaluation of the quality of such water is based on measurements of the
temperature (T°), pH, electric conductivity (EC) and the dosages of total
hardness (TH), calcium (Ca2+), chloride (Cl-),nitrate (NO3
-) and nitrite (NO2
-) .
The results obtained showed that the measurement values of the physicochemical
parameters of the analyzed water were all compliant with the
exception of nitrates which has proved abnormal in certain wells and could
therefore affect consumer health.

Résumé: The quantification of evapotranspiration from irrigated areas is important for
agriculture water management, especially in arid and semiarid regions where
water deficiency is becoming a major constraint in economic welfare and
sustainable development. Conventional methods that use point measurements to
estimate evapotranspiration are representative only of local areas and cannot be
extended to large areas because of heterogeneity of landscape. Remote sensing
based energy balance models are presently most suited for estimating
evapotranspiration monitoring water stress at both field and regional scales. In
this study, we aim to develop a methodology based on the triangle concept,
allowing access to evapotranspiration through the classical equation of Priestley
and Taylor (1972) where the proportional coefficient α in this equation is
ranged using a linear interpolation between surface temperature and Normalized
Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) values. Preliminary results, using remotely
sensed data sets from Landsat ETM+ over the Habra Plains in west Algeria, are
in good agreement with ground measurements. The proposed approach appears
to be more reliable and easily applicable for operational estimation of
evapotranspiration over large areas.

Résumé: Water is vital element for humans. It is necessary to have quality and sufficient
quantity thus ensuring a healthy and safe long term. The environmental
protection is to safeguard water resources against all types of pollution. In this
work, special attention is given to water resources. The objective of our work is
to quantify the water resources of some sites Watershed Coastal Algiers which
includes nine sub-basins. Hydrochemical study was conducted to better
understand the quality of some resources in the basin.
The analysis focused on a number of physico-chemical parameters such as
water temperature, hydrogen potential, electrical conductivity, total hardness,
Cl- , SO4
2-, NO3
- ,HCO3
- Ca2+, Mg2+ K+ and Na+. This study has allowed us to
highlight a number of parameters that come into play in determining the quality
of the water and found that the content of these elements, however, remains low
and does not, for the most part, risk of major pollution of the watershed Coastal
Algiers.
