The lagoon Tamelaht is one of the few wetlands Bejaia (Northeast Algeria) with multiple roles. It contains a considerable flora and fauna and is a required field transition path for many species of aquatic birds that come to feed and rest before continuing their migration south. Located near the airport and 80 meters from the Mediterranean, it is subject and continuously to various disturbances due to increasing anthropogenic activities. This work is a contribution to the physico-chemical characterization of waters of the lagoon to determine its evolution in terms of pollution and update its algal flora already started before. Analyzes of water samples from the lagoon have identified thirty genera belonging to four classes systematic Cyanophyceae (Cyanobacteria), Chlorophyceae, Diatomophyceae and Euglenophyceae. These algae grow in alkaline waters, sufficiently oxygenated and with enough nutrients. Despite its small area, the lagoon Tamelaht is an ecosystem of great ecological interest. However, it is threatened by various disturbing factors (noise, liquid waste, solid waste, pasture,…). These disturbances weaken the middle more every day.en_EN
