Sammary Effect of white cochineal on pigments chlorophyllians of date palm in the region of Biskra. The white scale is one of the most dangerous pests that attack the palm tree. It absorbs the sap of the palm tree which reduces the content of chlorophyll pigments (chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b and carotenoid). Our objective is to study the effects of p.blanchardi on the content of chlorophyll pigments of leaflets according to several factors (infection, orientation, variety and season) in a palm grove in Biskra. Our result shows that this pest has an impact on the content of chlorophyll pigments infected. The most infected direction is in East then North which are characterized by low levels of chlorophyll pigments. The variety Mech Degla has a small amount of chlorophyll pigments is low during the spring season, when the white mealy bug has a high activity.en_US
