dc.description.abstractDelafossite CuIMIIIO2 oxides with M = (Fe, Al, Ga, Cr ...) due to their wide range of properties and the abundance of their constituent elements in nature have been studied for several applications such as p-type transparent conductive oxides (TCO), transparent electronic devices and photoelectrodes but also for remarkable catalysis and photo-catalysis. The main objective of this work is based on the synthesis and structural characterization of CuAl1-xCrxO2 compounds for (x = 0, 0.2, 0.6, 1). The synthesis of these compounds was carried out according to the solid route. The purity of the phases was controlled and confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Other characterization techniques have been performed such as: Fourier transform infrared (IR), UV-Visble and laser particle size analysis. The photocatalytic efficiency of the prepared CuCrO2 particles was measured against the degradation of the methylene blue dye (BM) under solar irradiation.en_US
