dc.description.abstract | The progress made by remote sensing techniques within transdisciplinary research projects, have made it possible the emergence of operational system for crop monitoring and yield prediction for the main crops. In this paper, we describe "Crop Explorer, the most powerful tool actually available via internet. This database management system (DBMS) integrate reference data, collected data, models and interactive tools to extract information in different form (image, graph, maps, text, etc.) for almost all countries. We illustrate by some examples over Algeria. These could serve as example for the scientific research community to develop methodologies and tools specifically designed for our geographic area | en_US |
