The current study addresses the condition of farming systems in the agropastoral area of EL_Outaya (Biskra). We also identified Throughout this investigation, that the typology of farming systems has three types of holdings. The current dynamics depend on sheep breeding as the backbone around which revolve other husbandries of minor importance (goats and cattle). This ranching activity faces several institutional and environmental constraints and these latter constitute an obstacle impinges on the development of this strategic sector in this region with proven agropastoral potentials.
