As most of the money laundering operations pass through banks by the exploitation of the banking services and the placement and transfer of money in particular, great responsibilities has been placed on banks by virtue of their commitment to combat this type of crimes because of the economic, social and political risks this practices represent. But when banks face the process of whitening money they find themselves obliged to activate the rule of banking secrecy, which is one of the most important principles of the banking system, because it provides the confidence and guarantee to the customer, and credibility of the bank through which it can attract the greatest number of customers and the largest number of capital to invest and thus rush economy. However, activating the principle of bank secrecy on his loan contributes greatly to the spread of money laundering and its consequences. Therefore, the legislator must set limits on activating this principle when combating money laundering.en_US
