Abstract

The rail transport in Algeria essentially irreplaceable because of its significant role in economic and social development through revenue derived from the movement of goods and raw materials according to the productive stations especially for transport of persons or passengers in the stations service, besides the role in the smooth transition, communication and in creating a political unity, this is in one hand. In the other one its impacts on the environment. Therefore the aim of the research is to examine the conceptual framework for rail transport and its role in the economic and social Algerian development. In addition to its effects on the environment and the followed national policies -concerning what have been mentioned- during 2011-2018.
