Abstract

Summary The Arabic sentence is one of the most important topics which is tackled in the Arabic grammar lesson. This led us to study the subject of "The sentence system in Surah Al-Anfal", a grammatical study of the Arabic sentence for its important linguistic secrets. Also, its forms have been identified in terms of type. We divided the research into an entrance where the talk was about some concepts and terms such as speech and what it consists of. We highlighted the term of sentence according to the old and modern educators and narrators of Hadith, and two practical chapters. The first of them was characterized by the nominal sentence, its sections, patterns and forms; and the second is the verbal sentence. In addition, we referred to some rhetorical purposes of the syntactic phenomena: advancing, delaying, deleting and implication. The research has necessitated reliance on the descriptive approach, besides to a set of sources and references which increased the research’s cognitive richness in the linguistic and syntactic material. The study has finished with a conclusion that included the achieved findings.
