dc.description.abstractAbstract The present study aims at investigating the extent to which extensive reading affects Master one students‟ academic writing to produce well-written essays. The participants in the current study are thirty Master one students of English and five teachers of academic writing at Mohammed kheider University of Biskra registered for the academic year 2018/2019. To achieve the purpose of this study, a descriptive analytical approach was used through combining both a questionnaire for quantitative data and an interview for qualitative data. After the interpretation of the results, the study confirmed that extensive reading plays a pivotal role in developing students‟ academic writing.en_US
