dc.description.abstractThe International Court of Justice is the main judicial organ of theUnited Nations. It performs its work according to a statute that is an integral part of the Charter of the United Nations. The Court works to adjudicate disputes before it, including those related to borders, so that the latter is based on setting the correct path for the border line between Two states, meaning that these disputes are between persons of international law only, since in the event of a dispute relating to borders or their demarcation, the states parties have the right The International Court of Justice has been able to resolve border disputes referred to it in accordance with the rules of international law and thus has been able to maintain international peace and security, which is the goal for which the United Nations was established. Theadvisory opinions have also played an active role in the development of international law, although they are not binding on the parties to the conflict. The Court works hard to settle international disputes, whether land or sea, by peaceful means, and this is evidenced by the rulings and decisions it issues to resolve the dispute before it, as its rulings are mandatory for those against whom they were issued, and we summarize the role of the International Court of Justice in resolving border disputes in maintaining security and peace internationalsen_US
