Abstract

We conclude from our topic entiled The History of the Iraqi press (1869 _ 1933), that it had a distinguished history that needs to be studied and analyzed in a manner that would help to understand important aspects of the history of Iraq, as the Iraq press has come a long way since its inception through the political developments that Iraq has known in the system of government changed in every period, so the Iraq press occupied an important place among the writers, thinkers and the people, considering that the press is the most Important media in terms of dissemination, so the press appeared to play the role of social institutions that took upon itself the dissemination of news and helped the people in the revolution that the Iraq people carried out. It w as called the revolution of the twenties to overthrow the government, and the Iraq press did not neglect the religious aspet in educating the Iraq people.
