dc.description.abstractThis research investigates the role of using teamwork learning as a strategy during the prewriting stage in developing EFL students’ written productions , This study aims to determine whether the students writing proficiency would be enhanced by using this strategy, especially,when they start writing (the prewriting stage). To give consistency to the study, a questionnaire has been submitted to a sample composed of a group of Master one students of science of language, and an interview was addresses to a group of EFL teachers at Biskra University. The aim of the questionnaires is to obtain information about the role and the benefits given to Teamwork strategy by both the students and teachers in developing the students’ writing skill. It aims also to explore EFL students’ obstacles of getting started to write. In addition, the teachers’ interview tried to investigate the participants’ attitudes toward using the teamwork learning strategy to enhance writing in the classroom. The results have shown that teamwork learning is probably an effective strategy which increases students’ writing proficiency. Moreover, the result of the questionnaire and the interview confirmed our hypothesis and asserted that students have a positive attitude toward using teamwork strategy to develop their writing, and it is a stategy that creates a motivational climate in classroom where students can participate and collaborate without fear of making mistake.en_US
