Abstract

In this study, we dealt with a topic about the role of the Algerian university in promoting the visualization of scientific research, which aims to know the extent of the university's interest in this field, in addition to knowing the mechanisms and means that the university provides for the reconciliation of professors, to motivate them to research and scientific publication. Based on this, we used the analytical descriptive approach as it is the most suitable for this type of studies. The number of library and documentation science professors representing the study sample is estimated to be 14 professors, who were chosen to see their vision and the extent of their knowledge of the reality of scientific publishing at the University of Mohamed Kheidar Biskra, where a questionnaire was relied upon. The questionnaire was used to collect information, and after the process of unpacking the data, a set of tables were presented that helped us extrapolate the results reached. The most important finding of the study is that the professors of the Library Science Division are not familiar with a large percentage of the reality of publishing in their university, in addition to the need for the university to pay attention to the formation of professors and motivate them to carry out scientific research and publishing, as publishing in international scientific journals and global databases ensures an increase in the visibility of scientific researchs and accordingly the classification of the university.
