dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to identify the suffering of adolescents with type 1 diabetes of feeling of psychological loneliness. This was done through the following question: Do adolescents with type 1 diabetes suffer from loneliness? To answer this question, the study relied on the clinical approach using the case study technique. The study cases consisted of four adolescents, three of whom were females and one male with type 1 diabetes, between the ages of 18 and 22 years. The sample was chosen intentionally. The study was conducted in the city of Biskra, and it relied on a semi-structured interview with adolescents with type 1 diabetes, in addition to the psychological loneliness scale of Russell 1996. The study reached the following results: • Adolescents with type 1 diabetes suffer from loneliness. • The feeling of psychological loneliness appears among adolescents with type 1 diabetes through the psychological loneliness scale of Russell 1996.
