dc.description.abstract | The aim of our current study is to explore the clinical implications of the responses of clinical psychology students on the validity scales of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI-2). To achieve this objective, we conducted a study on a sample of 20 male and female students specializing in clinical psychology, randomly selected from a statistical population of 419 students. We used the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI-2) as a research tool to collect data and information, which is one of the most widely used tools in the world. Our study employed a descriptive methodology that is applicable to our current research. After analyzing the obtained data, the following results were obtained: 1. There are four patterns identified, with the first pattern being the most prominent among the sample individuals, accounting for 55% of the participants. Individuals in this pattern exhibit a balance between acknowledging and denying social errors. However, when it comes to faking, most individuals in this pattern tend to fake towards a more negative direction, indicating a desire to appear troubled. 2. Regarding the second pattern, it appeared in four cases among the sample individuals, representing a percentage of 0.2%, these individuals are characterized by acknowledging their limited sources in dealing with problems. In terms of faking in this pattern, we noticed one case where individuals fake towards a more positive direction to appear socially desirable. 3. The third pattern appeared in only one case, representing a percentage of 0.5% of the study cases. It is characterized as an ascending pattern, with a tendency towards appropriate balance, self-disclosure, and protection. Individuals in this pattern possess sufficient personal resources. 4. The fourth pattern includes four cases from the study sample, representing a percentage of 0.2% of the study cases. This pattern is considered the descending pattern, characterized by avoiding a certain level of naivety and lack of psychological insight into oneself. These individuals try to appear in a positive light. | en_US |
