Abstract

This study aims to identify the level of self-esteem of infertile women by applying the Cooper Smith scale of self-esteem, using the case study approach and the clinical approach based on the semi-guided interview and scientific observation. The study sample consisted of three cases of women suffering from primery and secondary infertility, who surrounding the researchers, and the selfesteem scale was applied to know the level of their self-esteem in light of this disease. The result of study found:after applying the Cooper Smith scale of self-esteem to the first case, she got a score of 72,which ranges between(60-80) according to the scale,and it is considered a high degree of self-esteem;and this is due to the social support she was receiving from the environement around her.As for the remaining twe cases, they got a score of 52, which is it ranges between(40-60) according to the scale, which is considered a medium degree.
