Abstract

Heritage is the most important narrative element in the narrative structure, as its presence contributed to the construction of the event and the characters, and thus the success of the fictional work We find the novel "Kingdom of Ziwan" full of heritage and its types that the novelist relied on to link between its connotations and the text of the discourse. This study is based on an introduction, two chapters, and a conclusion, where the first chapter was devoted to studying the theoretical basis of heritage in terms of concept and types in the contemporary Algerian novel. Religious, the most important heritage indications are on the cover page and the title of the novel. This study concluded with a conclusion that summarized the most important findings.
