dc.description.abstract	we studied In this research the character is an important element on which the narrative text is built, and we titled this research with the "character in the novel of the visit by AMR ALI AL-ADLY" as a model. Our purpose was to clarify the concept of the character among Western critics. Also the most prominent types and dimensions in the novel.
