dc.description.abstract | Mineral additions are widely used in partial substitution of Portland cement in the world. They come from natural sources ( pozzolan , lime …) or industrial by - products ( slag , fly ash ….) .Their valorization has several advantages: economic, environmental and technological. The use of crushed glass powder replacement of clinker has a promising way to enhance and recycle waste. Some additions finely ground have a more or less marked influence on the physico – mechanical properties of binders according to their mineralogical composition , their finesse and their percentage. We treat in this study the influence of the addition of crushed glass powder on the physical and mechanical behavior of white cement, composite and mortar by varying the percentage of addition of 10%, 20%, 25%, 30% and 35% . To accelerate the hydration of these cements , we propose to carry out a heat treatment by steaming. The results show that partial substitution of 10% to 25% seems to be favorable. Beyond that limit the mechanical properties are affected. | en_US |
