dc.description.abstract | The study entitled "Manifestations of Fear in Journalism and its Repercussions on the Reader from the Media Persons' Point of View"; A phenomenon that the journalist possesses while practicing his profession, whether before or after, and which results in a set of reflections on readers and society, while identifying the factors leading to the phenomenon, along with mentioning its dimensions and forms. The study was based on its description and interpretation of the phenomenon on two theories, the first of which is the theory of the gatekeeper through the stages that the media message goes through, with what is known as the reforms of the information carried by the media message, which works to monitor the work of the journalist, which is a key factor for the emergence of the phenomenon of fear in the press, and the second theory is the theory of media framing and through it We seek to define the frameworks and the actors of the elements of the media process and demonstrate their integration and interdependence between them, i.e. between the fear in the press resulting from the journalist and its repercussions on the audience. In this survey, we also analyzed a questionnaire that included a set of questions answered by the respondents, who are media figures. - The snowball sample was chosen to reach a significant number of respondents. -The study reached several results from the point of view of media professionals, including: Media professionals rely on a method consistent with the direction of the institution's policy to avoid censorship, which is a manifestation of fear in the press. - Fear in the press affects the reader, the most prominent of these effects is frustration and despair over the change of situation and preoccupation with secondary issues. | en_US |
