dc.description.abstract | The focus of our study, "The Image of the Ottomans in Algeria Through the Algerian Historical Writings from the 18th Century AD to the First Half of the 19th Century AD" focused on the local historical writings' view of the ruling Ottoman authority, which differed in its visions and points of view between a supporter of this authority and the religious legitimacy it gained. And between those who resented her and blamed her for the setbacks during her reign. This difference has remained a matter of debate among various researchers to this day. Therefore, we tried to address what it has and what it owes in an objective manner without bias, especially after the accusations made against it by Western writings, aimed at distorting its image with its colonial ideological view. Therefore, our reliance was on the contemporary Algerian historical writings of the Ottomans, in order to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of their rule, especially as it reflects the political reality. It is the economic, social and cultural one lived at the time, being the raw material needed by the researcher to convey events and fact-finding, as it is considered the language that expresses that period | en_US |
