dc.description.abstract | The school is one of the most important institutions of socialization, which has the task of building the desired and targeted person Through the educational programs that the individual receives from his childhood, Where the educational curricula depend in the process of its development on an educational policy and philosophy that is to serve the community and respond to the requirements of its development in various fields. The Algerian curricula, like other curricula, seek to build a citizen who is imbued with the values of his country and is proud of his belonging and identity, with openness to the other and his acceptance by providing him with a set of national and international values. The study aimed at analyzing the textbooks that the learner exploits in the educational-learning process, represented in the books of civic education and history for the primary stage, in order to reveal these citizenship values, using the content analysis technique. The results of the study concluded that there are some citizenship values distributed unbalanced, in addition to the absence of other important values in the education of citizenship based on the principle of participation. Although the current Algerian curricula emphasize some dimensions of citizenship However, the school still suffers from several imbalances that must be identified, especially with regard to classroom practices, pedagogical appr oaches, and teaching methods | en_US |
