dc.description.abstractAlgerian cities have recently witnessed a kind of outbreak of various crimes that have affected the security and stability of the country, and the spread of chaos and insecurity, such as taking hallucinogenic pills, drug abuse and trafficking, and kidnapping and murder among urban familiesThus, in our research, we addressed the repercussions of crime on the urban family as two major topics: crime and the family are no less important than the other, as the subject of the study is of great importance in dealing with a social topic among other social topics. The importance of the study appears through identifying crime and the urban family, and how crime is reflected On the urban family, by trying to answer the following main question: What are the repercussions of harem on the urban family in the urban environment? The following sub-questions fall under this main question: How does crime affect the family relationships of urban families in the urban environment? How is crime reflected on the neighborhood relations of the urban family in the urban setting? As for the last question, how is crime reflected on the material, social and cultural aspects of the urban family in the urban setting? Where we presented the topic as a mental perception, which is the fear of crime and its repercussions on the urban family that lives in the cities. To answer these questions and verify the truth or error of the hypotheses, we went to the field, where the study was conducted in the city of Biskra, one of the Algerian cities, and one of its neighborhoods was chosen, which is the 500 Aliya neighborhood. The North as a field of study. As for the sample, the nuclear families that live in the neighborhood were chosen. 300 families were chosen out of 500 families or more. The non-random sample was chosen, which is the purposive sample because it achieves the researcher’s purpose of the study. As for the approach used, it is the descriptive analytical approach to describe the phenomenon as it is in reality, analysis and interpretation, and among the most important results we have reached is that the crime has had a positive and negative impact on family relations, where certain crimes affecting spouses have appeared, such as betrayal, drug abuse, adultery, and others, where the marital relationship has become strained and disputes have emerged. And quarrels and problems due to the large number of crimes that affected the stability of the urban family. The positive side of it is through increasing awareness and taking caution. It also affected the relationship between parents and children, as the parents’ interest in their children increased through constant accompaniment and monitoring, guidance, advice and awareness around the clockHowever, it was not devoid of disagreements and problems that befell the relationship, such as beating, theft, and drug use, which negatively affected the relationship of the parents with the building. The crime also affected the relationship of the brothers, so the brothers’ interest in each other increased, in addition to the emergence of problems between them as a result of the spread of the crime. The crime also affected the neighborhood relations of Meanwhile, the neighbors and the people of the neighborhood have become a source of fear and anxiety for the urban family, as the relationship between the neighbors and the people of the neighborhood has become superficial and dominated by doubt and mistrust. The crime also affected the material, social and cultural aspect of the urban family in the urban environment, through an increase in the material and moral bonds of the urban family, and kinship relations became superficial and dominated by doubt and mistrust, with a few urban families maintaining kinship relations for the benefit of helping the spouses raise their children and bear responsibility, such as leaving their children behind. Among the husband's or wife's family, the urban family turned to watching a type of television programs, such as watching the news, social networking sites, and the Internet, due to the social change taking place in society and the technological and informational development, which led to a change in the structure and functions of the urban family.en_US
