dc.description.abstract | The present paper is an attempt to have a view of Poe's poetry with a particular reference to his recurrent topics and how they are presented. It also stresses that his poetry represents a totally different realm when compared to his short stories. In contrast to the dark aspects oh human experience in his fiction such as revenge, madness, perversity, violence and psychological aberration, his poems bring the reader to other worlds where love, beauty, grace and perfection come to the fore. The poems show the other side that has remained mainly concealed in his fiction. | en_US |
