dc.description.abstractThe current study aimed to identify the training needs of university professors in light of the adoption of digital education at the Algerian university, by determining the level of need for each of the following areas: (digital skill, building digital content, digital education strategies digital evaluation, digital software ) among the professors under study. The study population consisted of all permanent professors in the various faculties of humanities, social sciences, rights, and political sciences, numbering (308) for the academic year 2021/2022. The student researcher relied on the descriptive approach and the questionnaire as a tool for the study, and its validity and reliability were confirmed before the final application process by distributing it to A exploratory sample of (60) professors who were selected by random sampling. After applying the study tool to the basic study sample, which numbered (171) professors, we transcribed its data using statistical systems (SPSS) to extract results related to each of the study questions. The most important results reached by the student researcher were the following: - Training needs of university professors in the field of digital skills at the Algerian University (weak degree) - Training needs of university professors in the field of building digital content at the Algerian University (medium degree) - The training needs of university professors in the field of digital education strategies at the Algerian University (weak) - The training needs of university professors in the field of digital evaluation at the Algerian University (large) - Training needs of university professors in the field of digital software at the Algerian University (medium) Based on the results of the study, the student researcher presented a number of recommendations, the most prominent of which were: - Working to enhance and support the quality of higher education at the Algerian University and adapting the necessary procedures and policies to the needs of faculty members. - Establishing and improving digital networks and services with the aim of promoting distance education among Algerian universities. - Reviewing training programs according to current needs and trends, with a focus on digital software in all areas of digital education.en_US
