The problem of harmonic pollution in electrical distribution networks is constantly increasing due to the remarkable development in semiconductors that represent non-linear loads. There are many solutions, including the old ones, such as passive filters, which are still used until now, but they have drawbacks such as not being adapted when changing the load, for example, and the appearance of resonance with the network’s impedance. Therefore, researchers turned to active filters, and they were actually effective in eliminating harmonics in the network, but they are very expensive in industrial applications, so the scientists resorted again to hybridization between the previous two types “active” and “passive” to obtain a third type, which they called “hybrid active filter”. In this modest thesis, we have studied the ’active candidate’ and the ’hybrid one’ using intelligente methods such as fuzzy logic in order to find out which candidates are more effective. The study was limited to simulation with Simulink (Matlab/Simulink), and the results were good and confirm the efficacy of the proposed modelsen_US
