Abstract: | This thesis concerns the adaptation of the finite volume method to the three dimensional modelling of the electrotechnical problems. In this context, we have developed the computer code MVF3D under Matlab environment. The magnetic vector potential formulation for magnetostatic and the magnetic vector and scalar electric potentials formulation for magnetodynamic are implemented. The effect of Coulomb Gauge on the unicity of the solution is discussed. Magnetic nonlinearity due to magnetic saturation is treated by means of the M-B technique. The meshing process of the code generates three kind of 3D hexahedral grid : regular, irregular with logarithmic progression and nonconformal. Indeed, this last one is based on two steps, the domain decomposition and the bilinear interpolation. The taking into account of the displacement of moving parts was based on the nonconformal mesh. According to the size of the algebraic system, two solvers : Gauss Seidel and conjugate gradient, can be employed. In order to validate the code MVF3D, we have considered some international test problems intended to validate computer codes of the electromagnetic fields, two in linear magnetostatic, one in nonlinear magnetostatic, and the fourth relates to a problem of eddy current non destructive testing. |
