dc.description.abstract | This current study aims to investigate the development of the students’ speaking skill through the use of communicative language teaching approach (CLT). The main problem underlying this work is that many students are unable to carry on a spontaneous communication using the target language. The main cause behind this problem is the traditional methods that are followed by many teachers to teach speaking skill which focus on teaching a set of grammatical rules. To carry out this research and confirm this hypothesis, if teachers use communicative language teaching approach the students’ speaking skill will be enhanced Two questionnaire are administered, one for teachers of oral expression and another for the second year students at the Department of English at university of Biskra to identify and explore their attitudes about the speaking skill and the communicative approach. The data collected of this study shows that the communicative language teaching is a very effective method to develop students speaking skill. Finally this study aims at suggesting some strategies, techniques and procedures that may help teachers to teach speaking skill | en_US |
