This work highlights the important role of information and communication technologies in enhancing students’ speaking skill in EFL classes. Firstly, we give a general overview on speaking skill. Secondly, we provide a theoretical description of different materials and resources that were and are still used in teaching the speaking skill. Thirdly we describe a successful integration of ICTs in the classroom. It has been hypothesized in this study that if teachers integrate ICTs in class then students’ speaking skill will be improved and consequently they will be interested in learning. Also, if students make use ICTs as an aid in developing their oral proficiency, then they will be competent speakers of the target language. To confirm this hypothesis, we administered questionnaire to both third year students of English and teachers of oral expression in EFL classes, in order to see the extent to which they use ICTs, in what context and whether they have the susceptibility to integrate it in their classrooms. In addition to the main issues that prevent teachers from using this strategy. Thus, we administered two questionnaires to be full filled by students and teachers. The practical outcome of the study provides an analysis of data collected from the questionnaires. The study confirms the hypotheses according to the interpreted results and suggests some recommendations that help in achieving a successful implementation of ICT.en_US
