dc.description.abstractThis paperpresentsnewtechniquestoevaluatefaultsincaseofbrokenrotorbarsofinductionmotors. Proceduresareappliedwithclosed-loopcontrol.Electricalandmechanicalvariablesaretreatedusing fast Fouriertransform(FFT),anddiscretewavelettransform(DWT)atstart-upandsteadystate.The wavelettransformhasproventobeanexcellentmathematicaltoolforthedetectionofthefaults particularlybrokenrotorbarstype.Asaperformance,DWTcanprovidealocalrepresentationofthe non-stationary currentsignalsforthehealthymachineandwithfault.Forsensorlesscontrol,a Luenberger observerisapplied;theestimationrotorspeedisanalyzed;theeffectofthefaultsinthe speed pulsationiscompensated;aquadraticcurrentappearsandusedforfaultdetectionen_US
