Abstract

Abstract: Nowadays, the role of the information technology has developed from a supporter to a pivotal role in providing value to the institutions, but often these technologies fail to provide the desired value and objectives.While the studies show that there is a fact is those investments related to information technology and its implementation, can achieve the desired results if the enterprises apply the appropriate corporate governance system. As all the tasks, activities and decisions in the enterprise need the corporate governance to create value, information technology need it too. Although it is sometimes misunderstood, that the information technology considered as an independent field of study, but the governance of IT is in fact an integral part of the general strategy of governance in the organization. الملخّص: مع تطور دور تكنولوجيا المعلومات في عالم اليوم، حيث اصبحت تلعب دوراً محورياً في توفير قيمة للمؤسسات، ولكن في كثير من الأحيان تفشل هذه التكنولوجيا في توفير القيمة المأمولة والأهداف المسطرة للمؤسسة، وتصبح كل تلك الاستثمارات الكبرى في مجال تقنية المعلومات قد هدرت أو فشلت في تحقيق عائد إستثمار كافٍ للمؤسسة. في حين تشير الدراسات أن هناك حقيقة هي أن الاستثمارات المتعلقة بتكنولوجيا المعلومات وتنفيذها، يمكن أن تحقق النتائج المرجوة منها إذا ما تم تطبيق نظام حوكمة سليم ومناسب ،فكما تحتاج كافة المهام، الأنشطة والقرارات في المؤسسة إلى نظام حوكمة لتعطي القيمة المثلى لها، فتكنولوجيا المعلومات ليست بمعزل عن ذلك. وعلى الرغم من أنه يساء أحياناً فهمها ، على أنها حقل من حقول الدراسة مستقل بذاته، إلا أن حوكمة تكنولوجيا المعلومات هي في الواقع جزء لا يتجزأ من إستراتيجية الحوكمة العامة في المؤسسة ككل.
