Abstract: There are many definitions of good governance, but they all agree that good governance is a system of economic, social and political evaluation. The most noticeable of these definitions is what the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) defined as "the exercise of economic, political and administrative authority to manage the affairs of The state at all levels. "Thus, the good governance depends on all components of the state from official institutions, as well as informal institutions, civil society and the private sector. These institutions are subject to the mechanisms of good governance; rule of law, participation, transparency and other mechanisms, which make these institutions more rational and effective. Also, for political development, despite its many definitions, they all agree that it is a process that moves society from one stage to the next, relying on man as the mean, and the purpose in the same time, to reach human well-being. The good governance is an operational mechanism to reach development, through participation that reflects the size of the democracy practiced by citizens, civil society and the private sector in public life, and contribute in the management of public affairs, and it is evidenced when achieving equality in society through the rule of law mechanism, By rationalizing the laws and activating them according to the requirements of the environment, to be more effective in combating all forms of discrimination in society, and through the transparency mechanism, which allows the right to access the information by members of society in matters that concern them and eliminate the corruption system which rely on the confidentiality of information and not to declare it, the good governance is the appropriate way to correct the mistakes made by governments, in order to reach political development. The Kingdom of Morocco has represented a distinct case through a series of reforms, characterized by governance and leadership in order to achieve political development in all its components.
