Nowadays, the wireless communication is in increasing demand. This creates some requirement like broadband, dual band and high data rate. Hence, the microstrip patch antenna is the most appropriate due its various advantages. Our objective is to design a microstrip patch antenna that can achieve broadband, dual band and high data rate. Therefore, the study is based on specific techniques to improve these demands. Two techniques are introduced for enhancing the bandwidth DGS and U-slot, and another technique to achieve the dual band is by modify the shape of the radiator. Interesting results are obtained for specific band which are WiMAX 5.5 GHz and C-band. The simulation and extracting parameters are by using of HFSS.en_US
