Abstract: | The main objective of this work is about on synthesis, structural and physical characterization of a new ceramics material PZT of perovskite structure ABO3.We are interested in the study of the ternary system Pb1-yLay [ZrxTiz (Mo1/3In2/3) 1 - (x + z)] 1-y/4O3 abbreviated PLZT-PMI, in particular with x + y +z =100% . Two sets of samples were studied with 46 ≤ x ≤ 55 and y = 0 and 5%, respectively, in order to delimiting the compositions near the morphotropic phase boundary (MPB). The samples selected for this study were prepared by the method of synthesis with solid way. A thermal treatment was applied to these compositions at different temperatures: 1000 ° C, 1100 ° C, 1150 ° C 1180 ° C and 1200°C successively in order to optimize the sintering temperature where de density of ceramics is maximum (near theoretical density) and therefore the product is better physical quality. Different techniques of characterization were used such as: scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis and IR laser particle size analysis. Dielectric and piezoelectric measurements, depending on the composition, temperature and frequency for different samples showed that the response is optimal for the compositions included in the morphotropic phase boundary. |
