dc.description.abstractPublic budget deficit causes countries to constantly look for new resources to cover their funding needs and diversity its mechanisms. Among the funding resources that have emerged in recent years, we find the Islamic Sukuk, which represent the Islamic financing instruments, Islamic Sukuk become used to finance various areas including countries budget deficit. The purpose of this study is to highlight the role of Islamic Sukuk in achieving economic development, this study concludes on recommending that the countries which suffer from budget deficit to benefit from the Malaysian and Sudan experience in this field and to issue Islamic Sukuk. Therefore, Algeria which is suffering from a budget deficit must create a suitable environment for issuing and trading Islamic Sukuk to resolve this deficit and to plan the post-oil phase by employing Islamic finance.
