This study is part of the sustainable development framework of Lake Réghaïa, the only Ramsar wetland in Algiers, and future national reserve, will concede a hotspot for the diversity of marine ecosystems, marshland, dune, lake and forest. The results obtained on the state of the surface water quality of the lake and its socio-economic and environmental impact, indicate maximum concentrations for pollution, drifting from Wadi effluents and a significant contamination in metallic trace elements. Field surveys show an apparent dysfunction in the mobilization of water resources following overexploitation of water. The riparian and focus group surveys converge towards awareness to protect the water resources and fight the rejections in the wetland, which confirms that it is possible to preserve the water resource sustainably, from the wetland through management. Integrated multi-sectorial (Ministry of Water, Farmer and Environment ...), in consultation with the products of multidisciplinary scientific research involving local communities in decision-making.
