Water is a precious and essential natural resource for multiple uses and requires an excellent physicochemical and bacteriological quality. To assess the quality of wastewater in the city of Biskra, a physicochemical and microbiological analysis was carried out on two discharge sites (Oued Biskra and Oued Z’mor) for six months, followed by a statistical analysis that revealed the interaction between the different parameters. The results of the analyses carried out at the two sites show that its waters are of domestic origin with fecal contamination in the majority and confirm the existence of interactions between the different parameters, which constitutes without doubt a significant danger to the health of the populations.
