Abstract: The aim of this work is to study the effect of compressive deformation on the behavior of a corrosion alloy« aluminium-magnésium » in a sodium chloride solution (NaCl 3.5% by weight). Samples of this alloy have been deformed before the annealing aging at 150° C. however other were deformer after the aging. For this purpose a study was realized by applying different techniques: the lost mass, Vickers microhardness, optical microscopy (MO), scanning electronics (MEB) and X rays diffraction XRD. The obtained results show that the deformation by compression before or after the treatment of aging gives a microstructure that reacts differently in contact with sodium chloride solution, so the corrosion behavior is practically related by the density of the dislocations. key words: Aluminum alloy, deformation, annealing, corrosion.
