Abstract: The process of structural transformation – with regards to several variables - becomes one of the most prominent signs to desert cities. The natural, cultural, and social features, which ever formed the specifications of the local structural texture, gave this type of cities their structural identity. Nowadays, the structural transformation may have a direct influence on the original style of desert cities, thus risks to erasing its structural identity, so it has become very important to control this structural transformation with the use of specific planning and managing tools which allows to conserve and protect their identity .
