dc.description.abstractThis current study started from fundamental question includes in the problematic which it: Does the public agricultural policy challenges in Algeria causes an obstacle for being considered as strategically developmental substitute? Based on what was reached to from the available data in the studying period, starting from 1963 until 2019, Algeria’s agricultural sector was knowned with a volatile and unstable especially in the nineties, the agricultural sector was unable to achieve local self-sufficiency, which necessarily led to importation. The successive agricultural public policies which the country followed, had a positive effect on the Algerian agriculture, even with a low percentage amongst the national plan if development and developing the countryside programs, the weakness of the sector is due to the set of challenges that hinder the success of established policies.
