Abstract: Light weapons are used as deadly weapons of war. They are considered to Be the cheapest instruments of participation in violence. Their spread leads to Security and political disturbances and spreads from one conflict zone to another. Light weapons contribute to the intensification of armed conflicts and are widespread in the African continent, where their prolifération threatens the countries of the region and is leaked across borders in the absence of Law and order. The prolifération of light weapons in African is compounded by the inability of African countries to monitor Their borders as well as the influx of armed refugees Light weapons and Their trade are no longer limited to conflict zones, but are now available in other regions. The illicit trade in light weapons in African perpetuates conflict, exacerbâtes violence and violates laws, which requires greater efforts to flight the prolifération of light weapons. The presence of light weapons in Libye dates back to the period of former president Gaddafi. After the fall of the regime, the rebels controlled the weapons That were in the arms depots, further exacerbating the situation. The conflicting parties all became light weapons and were smuggled across the borders of the neighboring countries, which led to the Security chaos in the region
