dc.description.abstractThis work goes under a scientific study aims to understand the transition from the public spaces to the private ones, and the process of degradation in the transitional spaces and this for reaching a concept of a residential complex collective and semi-collective. That ensures the degradation in the levels of privacy and offers the smooth transition from the public spaces to the private, and it takes under consideration designing with knowing the kind of architectural spaces and the kind of users. In addition, to achieve this we structured the study on four chapters, the first discuss the most important concepts and terms and theories on the subjects of residence, architectural spaces and transitional spaces. Another chapter focuses on the analytical study for six residential complexes under the same subject, also studying the site of the project that led us to the elements of transition for the project. Finally, this scientific study produced a residential complex collective and semicollective in the city of Touggourt in the region of extension El-Nazla neighborhood, it was designed with the consideration of the basics of the spatial degradation and the climatic conditions of the region The key words: The private spaces, the public spaces, the spatial gradient, the transitional spaces, residence.en_US
