This study aims to shed light on the rules approved by the Algerian legislator to organize the process of economic groupings in line with the requirements and objectives of free competition under Ordinance 03/03 related to competition. Accordingly, the Algerian legislator has limited in the Competition Law 03/03 the mechanisms that create economic groupings to three mechanisms represented in the merger that takes place between independent or controlled institutions through the exercise of control and definite influence, or by the establishment of a joint institution, if it leads to prejudice competition and strengthen the position of dominance in the market, In order to protect the process of economic assemblies, the Algerian legislator has included the aforementioned mechanisms within the scope of the competition council’s supervision, with the availability of certain procedures conditions starting with the filing of the license file before the competition council and ending with acceptance or rejection.en_US
