Abstract

Public procurement crimes are considered a form of administrative corruption that is difficult to reveal because they are carried out in secrecy, and in order to combat these crimes, the legislature adopted several mechanisms to achieve the desired purpose behind them, and this was evident through the various laws it issued and the amendments that it made, in order to ensure an effective fight against crimes of public procurement Since the promulgation of the Law on the Prevention and Combating of Corruption in 2006, Algeria has witnessed serious activity in the framework of combating public procurement crimes, which mainly represented the creation of new specialized oversight bodies such as the National Office for the Suppression of Corruption, as well as private investigation methods.
