Today, human rights have become the focus of attention of states and international organizations, and an integral part of states’ constitutions and one of their main concerns. Therefore, the latter has received wide attention in order to ensure their respect and protection through the development of an arsenal of international laws, charters and agreements. Among the most prominent documents concerned with human rights, we find the Charter of the United Nations, which emphasized the importance of human rights on the one hand, and made the organization a major platform for its defense on the other, and entrusted its structures with the task of ensuring their respect and protection in accordance with the powers it possesses. Since the Security Council is one of the most important structures of the United Nations, the Charter defines the powers of the Security Council in the field of human rights, and even made it a tool for achieving international peace and security, which often have to do with human rights.en_US
