Abstract: Title of the Study : The importance of physical education and sports in the development of social and school adaptation of high school students.  Aims of the Study : The study aims to : - Recognize the level of social and school adaptation of students who do or do not practice sports in secondary education. - Recognize differences in the social and school adaptation indicator between students in secondary schools who do and who do not practice physical education and sports. - Identification of differences in the social and school adaptation indicator of students who practice physical education and sport in all dimensions of the scale according to gender indicator (male, female). - Identification of differences in the social and school adaptation indicator of students who practice physical education and sport in all dimensions of the scale according to educational level indicator (first year, second, third).  The Research Problem: This study aims to identify the importance of the session of physical education and sport in the development of social and school adaptation of high school students. In addition to knowing whether there are statistically significant differences in the social adaptation indicator among students in secondary schools who practice and non-practitioners in physical education and sports.  Research Approach: the study is based on the comparative descriptive approach.  Population of the Study: The study population consisted of high school students practicing and non-practicing physical education and sports in high schools in Biskra, a sample of 305 high school students from Biskra, The sample were divided into 101 non-practitioners, and (204 ) who practice sports.  Data Collection and Analysis Procedures: The adopted data collection tools are A scale of school and Social Adaptation to measure and compare the social adaptation of the school for high school students, practitioners and non-practitioners of physical education and the sports level, ملخص الدراسة 202 The scale was modified by the researcher in order to apply to the research sample, it contains four dimensions and includes 87 words and five alternatives to respond, were confirmed the truthfulness of the content presentation tool on the referees were the honesty and sincerity of the discriminatory calculation of internal consistency using the Pearson correlation coefficient, it was also ensuring the stability of the tool using the method of application and re-application as well as mid-way Jitman halfway using Cronbach's coefficient tool, alpha stability making valid for study, after data collection and discharge is entered in ( SPSS) program with the following statistical Alamaalajat: arithmetic mean, reproducibility of distributions and percentages, standard deviations, total scores.  The Main Results: - The level of social and school adaptation of high school students practicing physical education and sport was high. - The level of social and school adaptation of high school students who did not practice physical education and sport was relatively high. - There are difference of Statistical indication in the level of social adaptation at the level of significance (0.05) among secondary school students according to the indicator of practicing in physical education and sports session. - There are difference of Statistical indication in the level of social and school adaptation of secondary school students according to the indicator of gender. - There are difference of Statistical indication in the level of social and school adaptation of secondary school students according to the indicator of scientific specialization. - There are difference of Statistical indication in the level of social and school adaptation of secondary school students according to the educational level indicator.
