Abstract: In view of the changes witnessed by the cultural style of university students in particular, and what is represented in particular in the change of dress styles among students, this study came to reveal the impact left by the new means of communication in determining students' choices for their dress styles, and this study relied on conducting interviews with a sample of students The Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the University of Muhammad Kheidar, the university pole, Shatma, where this study was conducted with students of both sexes, females and males, from different educational levels. The aim of the study was to answer the following questions: •What are the manifestations of cultural change in dress among Algerian youth in light of the new means of communication ? •What are the manifestations of the new dress for students ? •What are the most important new means of communication that students use to purchase their clothes ? •What are the manifestations of the impact of the new means of communication on students' dress ? Through the interviews, we reached the results of the study that: •The university space has a variety of different styles of clothing, which we divided according to the shape. Each form has its own characteristics and advantages. We found mariolin, boyfriend, torn dress, and the modern and classic hijab . •Changing the dress style with the development of new means of communication that contributed to the spread of fashion trends faster. • Some of the students care about their dress in order to attract the attention of others. • Students consider that their style of clothing does not express their preferences, but is merely a fashion for them. • Instagram and Tik Tok are among the sites most followed by students in order to follow all styles of dress that keep pace with fashion. • Students depend more than male students on social networking sites in choosing their clothing styles. • Most of the female students depend in the recent period on wearing the modern hijab because it suggests adherence to religion and to customs and traditions. 82 • Female students are interested in imitating foreign fashion by following influencers who are active through social networking sites, unlike male students who are less likely to follow influencers. • Thanks to the means of communication, students today prefer to own their clothes through communication sites, especially Instagram. • The new means of communication have changed many cultural values and behaviors of university students.
