Abstract: Through this study, we tried to identify the most important thing that the western Algerian region experienced the spread of the plague during the period from 1790 AD to 1853AD . Which may extend for more than year. The period of our research is with the interaction of two the important paths in the history of Algeria , which is the end of Othman rule and the beginning of the French invasion ,where you will notice that both authorities have different methods in reducing and aggravating this disease, so the Othman rules in Algeria did not they had a clear policy in eliminating this disease, so the inhabitants of western Algeria restored to traditional medicine ,while the French invasion authority formed a health system to reduce all epidemics that threaten the French presence in Algeria , therefore this health care was not directed to Algerians, but to settlers was reflected negatively on the region and Algerian society , as economic and social repercussions of the plague disease represented the spread of poverty , 102 economic stagnation familiarity with activities and high taxes .In addition to Immigration which some considered as a solution to escape from the epidemic and this contributed to the disintegration of the social structure of society.
